TRD Supercharger, TRD Catback, aFe Cold air intake system, HELLA Rallye 4000 Celis lamps, Spyder Smoke CCFL Halo projector Headlights, JBA Ceramic Coated Long Tube Headers, Centric Cross Drilled Front Brake Rotors, URD smaller diameter S/C pulley, Roof Rack, Recon Tail light bar, 3" OME Leaf pack at the rear with 5100 Bilsteins and Regulable 2.75" Toytec Red Springs with 5100 Bilsteins in the front, Total Chaos UCA, Front TRD Skid Plate, Black Tube Step Bar, Black Emblems and TRD Sport Stripes decal, I JUST FINISHED MY MOD TO THE PARKING, DTR AND TURNING LIGHTS, When you hit the turning switch, DTR ad Parking lights turn of on the side the Turn signals are flashing, so they don't disturb their intensity. Everything installed with my own little hands and help of my dear friend and of course, your mods.
I've been looking around many stores and sites in order to buy a TRD Cold Air Intake system for my Access Cab Tacoma 2006 V6 4.0L 4WD and I found two different kind of kits.

This one, uses a flat filter and a standard filter case:

The other uses a cone filter and a bigger filter case:

Please tell me if the pics found are both right for my Taco and which one is better. I Think that the second one looks better in the engine room and I've read that cone filters are much better and more efficient than flat ones, are they?

I'm planning to buy a TRD S/C in the near future, and I woulf like to know which would work fine with the S/C.

If you where can I get those items for less money.

    Thanks

If you're getting a S/C, just wait until then, IMO.

Neither I had one, sold it quick. Bought an AFE drop in and have been much happier.

    Yeah, I gots boost
Both of those Intakes are made for the second gen Tacoma. Not from personal experience, but word on the street is that the older on (second pic) is better overall. Neither intake is supported by Toyota as far as the install of the S/C is concerned. You are not supposed to have a CAI and the supercharger as far as they are concerned.

Why do people trash the ted intakes? I do not have one but I think they look great. I want to get the second one but some members here are making me second guess myself.?
