In the office at the moment, but on the badges, if the holes are big enough, the paint does show through.

IMG_0581.jpg IMG_0822.jpg Here are my black letter covers over the chrome ones. $99 from eBay shipped. I didn't feel like messing again with plasticdip. Tried that on my old Jeep and they lasted only a few car washes. Super easy to install. Quality stuff.

I think he means how the hole in the letter "A" is filled in. I can't tell in the pic above if the "O" is filled in or not.

Would look better with the "A" holes cut out though. Probably wouldn't even notice on dark colours though.

The A's are covered, but not the O's.

I'm a little OCD too. I plastidipped my grill but there's a few imperfections that are inherent to using plastidip...thinking about actually painting them instead of dipping, along with the badges.

OP i dont know if you answered this but if you already have the emblems why dont you just Plastidip them.. Save you ALOT of money from some of the prices i skimmed through on this page? Just a thought... Also i have had my dipped for almost a year and half... No chipping or anything.. including my grill and front emblem, and all tacoma, SR5 emblems too....

Oh ya for sure..looked at em for a few minutes decided either wait for oem black emblems that may never be made or do the actual over lays at $99. For now I'm good with stock chrome ones on the truck.

How well do they hold up to rain and power washing your truck? It's held on by 3m tape which is what the emblem I believe is held on by, they should hold about the same right?
