Supposedly the MAF can raise all sorts of hell! Replaced it, running much better! But still loses out and goes super lean at high load, high rpms. So starting to think fuel pump is on its last leg. Serioulsly leaning towards the URD walbro 255 pump.

So would you rather drop the tank or pull off your bed to get to the pump?

Not sure yet, wondering how long it will take to get a pump delivered.

I had a Volvo that would show every code in the book, After spending tons of money the altenator finally died. New alternator and no more codes. Volvo said the voltage changes were making the ECM lose it's mind. You might want to test alt output.

New mass air flow sensor, truck is running much better, but now only falling on face at high rps and high load. Only showing codes p0171, and p0172, system lean codes. Any ideas?

Can I put an oil catch can inline with this hose? It seems like I have a lot of oil cake on the inside of it, as well as in the intake has a lot cake in it as well.

Too lean means not enough fuel or too much air. Check fuel pump pressure, sea foam, look for air leaks, MAF. Also, what did you do to the truck prior to these codes that you're not telling us????

I didnt buy a Tacoma just to look at it.. And trust me, it has seen a little bit of adventure in its day....

I tried spraying all around the intake with starter fluid to see if I could find a leak anywhere, nothing. It has a new MAF, although I did drop it as I was installing it, so i might swap it out on warranty just to see if that did it.

Running a little Chevron techron or seafoam additive seems to help temporarily.

Now it's showing a p0101 code. Which looks like MAF problems.

    Still intermittent power cutouts.

Does anybody if I can gently blow a little air back through the fuel pump to see if there might be some debris or if filter is plugged? Not really wanting to replace pump if I don't have to.

Also, is there a way to view the fuel pressure in the torque app?/or do they just not have a sensor tied into the obd?

Here is how bad it's leaning out, air fuel ratio metered is over 17, AFR commanded is around 12. The higher load and higher rpms I go the worse it gets, to me fuel pump or filter has to be it.

What is every ones thought on going with the URD walbro 255 kit, as oppose to a factory replacement?

Call Brant @mr.trd he has the Urd 255 walbro and swears by it. He told me it was the only way to go and it keeps up with his supercharged 4.0

I have the same code: P0171. I believe it to be the MAFS.
I am also getting a little sputtering when sitting at idle.

New fuel pump will be here Wednesday, hopefully that will clear up the last of the codes. I went with the URD pump. No sense in spending twice as much on a factory setup.

Also, Brant had only good things to say about the URD pump.
