Use a test light or multimeter and check each side of all of the fuses with the key off. Any that have power on 1 side and not on the other are blown. After that, turn the key on and do the same thing. Be sure to check the fuse box behind the cubby in the dash. If you're really really really really really really lucky, no electronics are blown.

Ign1 no2 is a fuse that you need to be sure to check.

If everything is normal, the check engine light should light when you turn the key on and then go out when the engine starts.

Ok so check that one and it was good, but found and replaced the ETCS... about to take a test drive now that we have throttle, but the check engine light is still on...

If the check engine light is on while the motor is running you should pull the code. Autozone or such places will do it for you if you don't have a reader. Then post your code here.

Sounds good. You're making progress. Another test you need to do is put a voltmeter on the battery with the engine running. It should be between 13.8 and 14.4 volts. If not, then the alternator is fried.

Actually anything over 13V is alright. May sound low but this is normal for Tacos.

Also if the alternator isn't charging and the truck is running only on battery juice then the red battery light in the left side of the gauge cluster should light up
