Noticed trans was lagging after coming to stop, like it didn’t want to engage. Higher rev than normal then it would engage and shift fine. Later today traveling at 60mph it either dropped out of overdrive (or out of 4), RPMs went from 2200 range to having to be at 3200-ish to stay at 55mph and make it home.
Not a mechanic but I can do a few things. Any suggestions as to what I need to start looking at in the morning??? Taco has 145k miles

Sorry to hear about your troubles...
My first thoughts are that you might be low on transmission fluid. Check in the morning if there is any sign under the truck.
Low fluid levels – The most common cause for slipping is low fluid levels. Low fluid levels can create a number of problems, such as overheating and not enough hydraulic pressure being produced to engage gears. ... Bands are what links thegears in the automatic transmission together
    Good Luck...keep us posted!

That was my first thought, I checked driveway when I got home and no evidence of any previous leaks, I’ll look again in the morning though just to be sure
