Help With 5 lug steel wheels

is there anything you can do to make the base steel wheels look a little better,other than changing them out.

 

IMO I would take them off and get them powder coated black. There are a few people that have done it on here.

 

I spray painted mine a couple years ago, lol

 

for the price it would take to powder coat you could buy a different style of steelies. I ended up with Cragar Soft 8's from Summit Racing.

 

I've got some skins for a five lug 15" .... used them about a month :



then bought some American Racing:

thanks but i dont think i want skins on them.did that ar wheel fit or did you have to use spacers behind wheel?you members that painted your wheels would you mind taking a closeup picture of wheel and post them,thanks

 

just get a six lugger!!!

six lug is not a option,i just bought this truck,fuel milage and all,i am not going to trade it for a prerunner

 

Sorry no offense to anyone, but the 5 luggers just look ridiculous. They look like a cartoon truck with those micro wheels. The 2nd gen body is oversized and paired with mini wheels, it makes the whole thing look a bit goofy.
