When I'm shifting from Park to Drive and or Reverse I'm hearing a sound like a pinging. Not a clunk and I'm not feeling anything strange in the column.

    Any ideas?

I hear the same noise. I'm also wondering what that is...

I think I have had the same noise for about 17 years. I feel like it's something in the driveline when power is converted through the tranny to the drive shafts...
