I am in the process of installing an ARB Twin compressor on the passenger side of the engine bay of my 2021 TRD OR. I'm using a Slee bracket which I learned about on TW. Unfortunately, while the bolt holes line up, the bracket sits directly on top of what I believe is the AC line. I've tried fidgeting with it a bit and watched a few install videos, but it appears my AC line is either in a different spot than other or something. Has anyone installed an ARB Twin on the passenger side with another type of bracket or have a suggestion for what can be done to make this fit? Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Yeah, that is blood. Got hand cut up trying to manipulate the compressor around in that tight space.

Did you install the arm going back to the firewall after you got the compressor and main bracket situated? Is the main bracket tightened to the passenger side of the engine bay?

Anyways, I have the same, 2021 TRD-OR and Slee bracket and no interference.IMG_2006.HEIC.jpg

I had it tightened on the passenger side. I did not have the firewall bracket on when the pic was taken but I did install it. I don’t know why, but it still is pressing firmly on the AC valve. I’ve removed it and am going to try and cut off a bit of the bracket to make it work.

Yeah, the rectangular cutout is for the switch but it's a super awkward position so I mounted my switch on the main bracket on the airbox side.

I need to look again but even for me getting a fitting on the AC valve might be impossible without removing the bracket so if you are going to cut might as well make sure that will be easy too.

How do you mount the switch on the main bracket? did you need to cut a matching size hole? #Christsay do you have the ARB manifold on there as well?

The main bracket has a similar rectangular hole already present on the side facing the airbox and the switch fits in just like it would in a rectangular cutout on the dash.

Yep using the ARB manifold, the Slee provided 90 degree fittings, ARB hose, and then quick connects that I sourced on my own.

@christsay do you recall if you mounted everything on the slee brackets before installing? That firewall bracket arm seems like it would be hard to have attached during placement in that space. I plan on mounting mine similar to how yours is set up. I'm not sure I can get my hands down in those tight spaces to tighten things up if mounted after installing the brackets.

Yeah, I mounted the compressor and the manifold to the bracket before dropping the whole shebang into the engine bay. Then I attached the firewall bracket after the main bracket/compressor/manifold was installed. It's definitely all a pain...

After everything was bolted in I plumbed the air fittings as well as the electrical. The main ARB harness is the perfect length if routed along the upper firewall to the battery. Since I installed the switch on the bracket I didn't need to fish anything into the cabin however I did tap into a ignition switched 12V in the mini relay box next to the main fuse box (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/switched-power-underhood.659727/). This is optional, you could just run wires from the switch loom back to the battery. This would allow you to run the compressor when the truck is off, but that also means you could run down your battery on accident.

I was going to cleanup the ARB switch harness to remove the connections for the solenoids but it's all finished pretty well so just ended up zip tieing it under the compressor bracket.

I removed the lower airbox halfway through the install, I should have done it from the get go as it really makes things easier.
