Was cleaning out my garage and one of the items I put in my truck to haul away was a deep fryer. It tipped over and covered my bed with a layer of cooking grease that I didn't notice until later. It congealed and stuck to the liner. Any advice on how to get the stuff off? I have tried the "bubble brush" at a local do it yourself carwash, dish soap, and lightning degreaser. None have seemed to work.

Maybe you should find someone with a commercial pressure washer that sprays super hot water like a Landis pressure washer....

Take it to an auto body shop or a detailers place and get their advice. You want something strong enough to cut the grease without ruining the truck.

Yep, Dawn. Cleans crude oil off baby birds and unclogs shower drains.

I'll bite, what kind of liner?

    Carpet:
Try to steam clean it. If that fails, rip it out and throw it away as it's ruined and not worth the effort to repair.

    Toyota Rubber Mat/Liner
Remove it, roll it up and tie it. Find a cheap tub and let it soak for a week in diluted de-greaser. If that fails, throw it away and replace.

    Plastic Bed:
Take a puddy knife and scrape the majority of it off, then let it soak (in the shade if high temps) with diluted de-greaser. Then scrub it, scrub it some moar, then scrub that scrubbing...

These are just what I would try. No clue if any would work though. :notsure:
    Good luck OP.

We don’t have a liner on the 2005+ Tacoma’s. The entire bed is a composite material. Pretty neat. When I first bought mine I thought it was a liner as well.

What you want is spray on oven cleaner.
I've used it to clean heavy accumulations of grease from commercial kitchen equipment, grease so nasty nothing else would touch it.

    ammonia and water

    or lye and water

neither will damage the bed, and both will get the grease off in a hurry

do not mix either one with anything other than water, and rinse the hell outta
    the truck afterward

It's not a liner. it's the bed of the truck. they dont come out unless you want to disassemble the entire bed and take it off the frame.
