    Finally bought my 1st taco after being a chevy man. Boy do I love this 2012 tacoma, now i see what ive been missing. Anyways to my question. Would like to change the fluids to make sure im good to go and have called 4 dealers and have recieved 2 different answers. 2 said i need the WS trans fluid and the other 2 said to use a Type 4. What the heck!!!! I have a 2012 4cyl auto. What is the difference and what do i actually need. Thank you so much for your input. Love this site so far!

    You need Toyota Type T-IV Transmission Fluid. The V-6s with the 5spd auto uses WS.
