Help!!!! with Flywheel!!!!

    Hey Im not sure what happen but my post is gone I need input on check to see if my flywheel is good I don't want to drop the tran... I have the starter off of it right now any input ia welcome:eek:

    what makes you think your flywheel is bad? what are you trying to repair/diagnose?

    Will the start had broken in it and I replaced it but it still sound bad when i go to start it so I though tmaybe the starter I go at autozone was bad just took it bak inand was told it was good they gave me a new one and just wanted to get input didn't know if I should drop trans just to check it out and didn't really want to its alot of work and thought someone on here may know what to do

    I did stick my fingers in it and felt around but couldn't find any really sharp or high/low points in the the space the starter slips in to but someone did say it could of craked

    first off, punctuation marks are your friend :) Second are you hearing like a grinding sound when you first start the car? If so the teeth on the flywheel may be worn out. Turn the crankshaft pulley and check the condition of the teeth, make sure none are broken or worn down

    yup that the sound....... sorry tound dum but remind me again how to turn the pully it's the lower one right???

    sounds like you need a new flywheel. 19mm socket with a breaker bar and turn the pulley, you can maybe try to get lucky and turn the crank via the alternator pulley but that doesnt always work

    ok so I found out there's a plat can remove to see half of the flywheel so I took it off and it looks go but I don't know if the where two small bearings came from I sent a pic to twlive I'll see if I can get it here
