So since we got over 12"+ inches of snow, average temp is 8 degrees I have found frost on the inside of my windshield the past 2 days. I antifreeze is original since 2011, my truck heats up fine and never over heats. So what can be the problem, if there is one?

Moisture and humidity inside the cab do to wet mats and seats. Try cracking a window a little to let the heat out when you park.

running the A/C will also help eliminate the extra moisture

I always run the defrost during winter to keep humidity down in the vehicle. It builds up quick with passengers and windows fog up fast. Since its been so cold, that humidity is frosting over, plus as @Hunter.415 said, melted snow from your shoes is evaporating into the cab.

Not sure about other models, but my 2010 turned ac on by default when defrost was selected.

Good points. I do have my defrost with feet on all winter long, yes my floor mats (weathertech) are soaked amd I have wet okole with heaters in them. I was just worried if I have to change out my antifreeze.

Changing your antifreeze wouldn't help. If the condensation was from antifreeze then you would most likely have to replace your heater core.

But with all the snow I try to knock as much snow off my boots when getting in to minimize the snow melt in the floor mats. There is no real fix for it.

Try running the defrost just for window. If your wearing boot and cab is warm. Your feet will be fine. Also dump the water out the mats a few times during the day.

Are you leaving the knob on the defrost setting when you cut the truck off? My truck will have moisture inside at the bottom of the windshield if it was rainy the day before and I leave the selector knob on the defrost setting when I turn the truck off.

Fresh air setting too. Don't recycle the air in the cab.

check if the carpet is wet under the floor mat. Weathertechs are great mats but will not allow the carpet to rapidly dry if the happen to get wet. If the carpet is damp, pull the mats after you park the truck.

Use some of the little silicate dessicant packs that you get when you buy new things. they are designed to absorb moisture and I use like 6-10 of them in my truck (access cab) and it helps to keep the ambient moisture inside the cab down.

If you have 10 inches of snow, you should have a snow brush for the windows , brush off your kicks, before you put your feet in the truck.

I live in the north east, been driving for decades, never had this problem. I suggest the OP get out his owner’s manual and study it.

Quite simply, set the knob to ‘defrost’ mode and turn the temperature to its warmest setting, then hit the ‘A/C’ button, when it starts to warm up crank the fan to high speed, then set the knob for air to blow on your feet and the top vent.

Give it time to do its job...next time you get in the truck, lather...rinse...repeat...

All great suggestions. I will follow them except move further south. Love the snow to much and my job. Thanks again.

The biggest cause of frost / fog inside the widows is leaving the selector in the Recirculate position instead of Fresh Air.
