So I have a 2019 Tacoma with halogens, upgrading to some 2020+ OEM LED headlights so I need a harness for that, but I also saw that there are grille lights that you can tap into the headlights and I’m just confused on what exactly id need.

The "with grille lights" is what I run b/c I like grille lights and I'm a bit of a dork/poser/lame/ford raptor chamois sniffer/whateveryouwanttocallme.

It's the harness I started building along with the DIR.

The plain harness is what most people buy b/c I guess they have taste or something. A few people buy dual grille to have backlight feed for DD SS3 fog lights (mine are older and have no backlight).

So, I can't really tell you what to get but I do build/offer both.

The 7" vs 12" is an easier one, 7" is the right choice _unless_ you have dual batteries on the driver side (not recommended as it's likely to crack the support bracket) or an air compressor stuffed in the passenger side (not really the ideal spot for a compressor) or some other obstruction necessitating routing longer leads away from the headlight into a spot you can access with your hands, typically inside the fender / under the fender lip where it meets the hood. But some get 12" just cause they think longer is better despite my suggestion of 7" being just right.
