    Hi all,
My hazard light switch is bad & needs replaced.
I'm not sure how to do it. Do you have to take part of the dash apart?

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks

    JC

Real easy on a 96. Pull the knobs off of your climate controls. On the right side of the climate control face, take a small ice pick or small flat head screwdriver and get under the face. Lightly pry out on it. Its held on with tabs. Dont bend it while pulling on it or you could crack the face. Once you pop the face off, unplug the wire going to the A/C button. Below the face are 2 hex head screws holding on the outer bezel around the radio. Right one is facing you, the left one is at a downward angle. Once you undo those screws you can lightly pry the outer bezel off. It is also held on with tabs after the screws are out. There is a plug on the back of it for the hazard switch. Unplug the switch which will release the whole bezel. There are pressure tabs on the back of the bezel holding the hazard switch to the bezel. Squeeze them and the switch will pop out. Replace and reinstall following these instructions backwards. When putting the radio bezel back on, it will install easier if you slide out the drink holder.

Thanks for the help. Seems to make sense to me.
I've installed various stereos but couldn't quite remember dealing w/hazard switch.

    Have a good one!
