I bought a used set of ICON 2.5 coilovers/UCAS for my 99 tacoma. About how long of job should this take? Any tips or pointers on anything major or specific you've ran into? I also have the diff drop. A buddy and I was going to start the project tonight, he has all the tools and is a pretty good fabricator/mechanic but he's never done a lift on a IFS tacoma. Trying to gather the info and pass his way. Thanks for any and all help.

Quite easy to do- especially with 2 of you guys. Can't say for sure on 1st gen but you may have to bend the very inner edge of the fenderwell inward to provide clearance for removal of uca thru bolt. I'd recommend removing and regreasing bushings on uca pivots. At least pump a little grease in the zerks before tightening bolt. Good luck!

Well after 8 hours we finally have the coilovers/ucas/diff drop done. Now what's left tomorrow is to trim my bumper some, maybe beat/chop on the cab mount area some, and flip my rear leafs, then put the 35s on. Friday hopefully get her aligned and snow wheeling this weekend. This has been a serious headache, ran into all kinds of stupid problems along the way. Thank God I know fabricators because I would have been done real quick lol.
