Help with knocking noise

    Can someone help me narrow this down before I start ripping her apart! I’m thinking cv axle bearing? Thanks in advance!

    any chance those are new wheels ? Sounds like a rim weight hitting the caliper or smth

    Sounds like a thin piece of metal. Brake backing plate? Did you recently take wheels off? Maybe CV boot rubbing skid plate? Its exactly once per revolution so wont be a bearing.

    Take the wheel off and check that weight, from what I can see and hear is that it is hitting the upper arm. You should see some sort of a mark on the weight and on the upper arm.

    Doesn’t sound like a C.V. to me.
    Take the tire off an look. Maybe something bent the backing plate.
    I’d seriously inspect that tire weight. Because it’s really easy to check?

    Sounds like something is hitting something.

    if you really want to see if it’s a C.V. put it in 4WD.
    See if the sound changes, i seriously have my doubts.

    Jack it up and free spin the wheel while looking at in from the inside. Should be able to see what you're hitting then.
