I would like to level my 2010 Tacoma to add a larger tire. I have a 2010 Tacoma sport access cab 4x4 and was wondering exactly what i need to do so. Is a 1or 2" Level what I need? Also for shocks is there a recommendation to get for the front as well.
And finally what is the largest A/T tire for that set up.

    Thank ya!

Is your suspension OEM? Lifting spacers are generally frowned upon on here. That having been said, I installed some in my '08 years ago and I regret it. Within months, the front was sitting higher than the rear...tacoma stock leafsprings SUCK. You will likely be better off doing a suspension upgrade it you're wanting the best results. It's not as cheap as spacers(by ALOT), but you get what you pay for. As far as tire size fitment, you'll be better off posting that in the Tire & Wheel forum. That question gets asked alot, and the answer generally turns into a discussion about what you're willing to do to your truck to make it work(i.e. wheel spacers...also not looked highly upon, but plenty of people use them). Good luck!

With a simple spacer lift the largest tire you can fit is a 255 75 17 IIRC.

This is a narrow 32" and will still probably rub something off road.

265-75-16 is the largest you can go stock.

You should avoid "leveling kits" like the plague.

If you must up your truck do the tried and true Bilstein 5100's with OME coils 887 are good on the first notch for what you want, when your rear gets old and saggy a progressive Add A Leaf is the best option.

I wouldn't go for a loft cheaper than this but there's plenty of more expensive options.

If you want a 285 wide or anything or larger than 32" you really need to be handy with a grinder and ready to chop up your truck.

You really need to ask yourself *why* you *need* larger tires.

Even if that *need* is actually a *want*.

This is amazing advice thank you both! Ill keep this in mind and probably go with the upgrade suspension route. I most definitely would like to pay a little more and not have problems down the road. As for tires I do not want anything too large but as large as i can go A/T wise. So with suspension and no spacers or leveling the largest size for the 17 wheel is 255 75 17 IIRC? I would like the level look as well as a bit more clearance. Also for the front wheel not to be too crowded in the well if that makes sense.

    Thanks again!
