Help with lift and heat shield

Hello everyone!

today i used a buddy’s rotary lift to change my differential fluids.. it went well but while lifting the truck, a loud snapping noise occurred... possibly coming from the lift but it was definitely a new sound for the both of us.

While changing the fluids, i noticed one of my heat shields was completely loose and sitting on top of my muffler... couldnt have been like that for long because im sure i would have heard some rattle while driving. Possibly the lift snapped the shield? Shield was definitely not in direct contact with the lift arms.

Two questions:
1. The shield came off without removing a single mounting screw. Can i just remove the screws, get some washers and reinstall? Or worth replacing the part? Maybe new screws? Pic below.

2. While using a rotary lift, where are the proper lift points? I used the frame for all 4 points but maybe it was responsible for the shield snapping? Hopefully nothing else is damaged.

I would definitely replace the heat shield. It's there for a reason

 

Look at the stud/threads where the heat shield (all of them) attach and you will see it has a larger diameter on the base than the threaded part so 2 washers are required to get the nut to tighten down (well up to the floor). Done many of mine as they all start to corrode out. Also look under drivers side seat at the cat heat shield and needs a large hose clamp around exhaust pipe and 2 new bolts so that baby will not rattle or drop off (easy to figure out when you look at it).
