Lift, Tires. Lots of little things... breathers, HID, all new lighting in and out including gauges, homelink, gray wire mod, etc... more to come soon.
Sorry if these are noobish questions... this is my first tacoma. I am going to be running the toytec bilstein lift kit (2-3") and am trying to decide on a backspace fitment for the SCS F5's that I am going to run with 265/75r16 BF KO2 which are currently on stock rims.

I have a choice between 3.5 and 4.5 backspace measurements. I don't mind the look of the 3.5 in that it extends beyond my flares... but I really worry about clearing the flares when stuffing the rear tires.

Will my lift prevent that from happening? For instance, if I am 2" higher in the rear will that mean that suspension compression stops 2" earlier as well? On stock suspension with stock wheels, the 265/75r16 tires barely cleared past the flare into the fender so if the lift can compress as far as the stock one can, that the tires will hit the flare for sure, even with only 1" more backspace over stock.

    Any insight is helpful!

Thanks. It looks like his tires are much taller than mine and they tuck up into the wheel well nicely, even with the huge 3.5 backspace. I guess the camber as the suspension gets compressed is enough. I will likely still go with 4.5 for a more flush look (and less debris on the side of my truck).

What size tires did you mount on yours and what suspension setup are you running? Any rubbing issues during compression?
