Sorry, to make my first post a help question. I have been on Pirate for years but given that I recently sold my 1985 truck and bought a 2003 Tacoma I felt I would join up over here. I will post some pics of my truck soon.

So a buddy of mine just bought a used 1998 Tacoma with some kinda crappy old IFS lift kit installed. I know this is not a fun post for you all to read but we could use some help. He got a good deal on the truck but it came with a very leaky rack and pinion steering system that is mounted to drop brackets from the lift kit. He ordered a new rack and got it installed and now he is having a hard time locating a high pressure line that will fit to feed it. The one that was on the truck is some kind of extended line that probably came with the lift and it has a hard 90 degree angle just before it goes into the rack. We would just reuse it but it is one of the main sources for the leak. The Toyota factory lines are too short and has no angle at the end.

    2 Main questions

    1. Do any of you recognize this lift (looks to be about 3 inches) and could tell us who made it?
    2. Any ideas on where we could get a replacement High pressure line that would fit with this lift on the truck?

Thanks for your help. And trust me I did search. If it was mine I would just SAS's it and be done with the rack but my friend is short on funds and just needs a working truck.

This pic shows the high pressure line we need just behind the low pressure. You can see the angle in this photo.

That is the single sketchiest lift I have ever seen, even the sway bar drop is ghetto, must ride real rough. You may have luck searching about the rack bushings as they are a common issue with Tacos and it may lead you to parts. I would seriously consider removing that dangerous lift and getting some nice coils up front as well as removing what I can only imagine is a lift block on the leafs.

That's a old Pro Comp 4" lift,,with the hand grenade upper joint spacer and bracket.

A local hydraulic repair shop should be able to make you that line. You will need fitting sizes, maybe fittings, line length, ect.
