    I put mine on the passenger side of bed... (I have to remove the base to mount - 60 incher)

    Remove the coverless cubby from the passenger side so you can access the back (it's mounted with double stick tape - if you are nervous about it you can use a single edged razor to cut the tape)

    Figure out what height you want

    Layout the holes for the first mount with the mount in the vertical position

    Drill the holes and debur (both sides) with a larger drill bit (the deburring or chamfering of the hole will reduce the likelihood of bed cracking) - you can gain access for the tailgate end by going from under the truck.

    When I mounted the mounts, I made isolation gaskets out of a mountain bike tire (both sides with a large fender washer (to distribute the force and limit the possiblity of cracking) - I also used nylock nuts so that I didn't have to over tighten the bolts (once again to limit risk of bed cracking (do you sense a theme here?)

    before you mount it...take the bolts with the holes drilled in them to a hardware store...and find locks that fit the holes...

    its easier that way

    What is the length of your jack? I have or had a 60" that I cut an inch off of to make it fit. I don't like removing parts then needing to find everything when I need the jack.
