Alright well long story short, I got a wild hair today and figured why wait and pay someone to put on my lift when I can do it myself. Called up dad to grab a few extra useful tools for the job (Of course two sets of hands are better than one right?) and went to town on the Tacoma. Started a little late in the day, but whats done is done! ReadyLift was a pain in a few places but nothing I couldn't get past. Sorry the pictures are kinda dark so its hard to see but of course, better ones will come in the future.

Still a few things to be done, I haven't removed the black boxes but they are going to be removed. I can see where my tires would rub in turns to the left. A little setback though, the wheels I have on are rubbing on the brake calibers. Looks like its time to head out in a different car tomorrow morning and get some spacers to finish the job. In my opinion though, the truck looks so much better with nice tires ad wheels on it rather than the stock ones that came on it. Very happy I decided to go ahead with the lift and such.

I don't have THAT much tire rub but there are some tiny shavings from the calipers and rims, of course I haven't driven it. Any idea how big of a spacer I would need to fix the problem?

I'd try grinding your calipers down some. If you had enough clearance to get the wheel on and turning it won't take much to get it to spin free.

Thanks a bunch, got all the rubbing and such fixed. Makes me feel better that I did it by hand without sending it to a shop to have the lift installed. Sittin' pretty on the 31's I have! :D

Do the 5 lug and 6 lug have the same body styles just different suspensions and under truck stuff? Like for example if I wanted to buy a bug shield and it says for a 2012 Tacoma, it should fit mine right?

Yes the bug shield will fit. Main diff between is we have no flares and and leafs that go under our axel as opposed to all other 6 lug models that are spring over.
