Help with my APPRADIO 3!!!!!

I got an Appradio 3 early this week. I wired it and put a relay as a bypass so that I can use navigation wile driving. Everything seemed to be working fine, the only thing is that none of my preferences would save!!!! I ended up taking the deck back and exchanging it for a new one but I'm still having the same issues. It's getting so frustrating because I've looked and checked the wiring several times. Does someone know how to work know how to work these things?

 

What do you mean the preferences will not save? Can you be more specific? I have one and got it working (was a bitch to do).

 

I got an email from Pioneer a couple of days ago saying that none of the apps really work with the new Ios8 yet. That may be the problem.

 

My audio settings and screen settings is this normal?

I haven't upgraded yet because I figures it would impact the deck.

 

The only wire I didn't hook up is the back up wire.

 

I don't think that matters. All that does is auto switch on the backup camera when put in reverse

 

What about radio channel presets? Do they get reset too?

 

Yeah... Even before I wired the relay it was doing this.

 

Is the positive wire on your battery tight? Its almost as if the radio is loosing all power when the truck is turned off.

 

Hm... Didn't think of that. Could it be that I have it powered through the wrong wire? Know that you say that, It holds settings until I open the door. Kind of like the lights, they stay on and as soon as the door opens the shut off.

 

That sounds like a highly probable solution. When I installed my appradio 2, it came with a plug and play harness so all I had to do was match the harness colors to the appradios colors.
