This sound occurs on startup and at rpm increase from low rpm. There are many rattles on my truck but this one did not appear until after installing new motor mounts and a transmission mount. The motor seems to shake on start a lot more than before with the new mounts installed, the motor is also shaking quite a bit when bouncing off 1,000 rpm. I would assume because the mounts are soft new rubber. On idle and on the road they are a noticeable improvement, my steering wheel still shakes a little but it's no longer noticeable unless you're really looking close at it.

The rattle does not occur with the clutch pressed in!!!

So other than the infamous Tacoma Tick, any ideas what's making the noise? Looking at the engine from the front of the vehicle it seems to be coming from the back of the motor above the transmission bellhouse.

    Here's two videos.

Have you gone through the work that was just done and make sure everything’s on tight? Sometimes leaking exhaust can make noises you wouldn’t think was air.

Check the exhaust hangers I had a shop bust a weld off putting it on a lift made a rattling noise

had a loose pulleys make some weird noise too I’d check those.
