    2022 TRD Off-Road. 41,000 miles, stock suspension.

Noticed a dull popping noise while turning the wheel at slow speed or starting from a stopped position. Seemed to be from under the engine skid (stock Toyota engine skid not RCI). Took off skid.

Unable to replicate the noise with front wheels off the ground, with either the engine running or stopped and just turning the steering wheel.

Lowered back to the ground and was able to replicate the noise again simply by turning the steering wheel left/right.

Everything suspension wise appears tight and in good order. No weird noise from the PS rack with wheels on or off the ground.

    Thank you for the help,
    Matt

Sway bar links, they make a lot of noise when they fail. Check for easy movement and crunchy rotation.

Thank you, they appear to be tight.

Mine does the same thing, so I’m hoping for an answer to appear. Thank you.
