I'm looking at a 2018 Toyota Tacoma double cab TRD Off-Road with 200k miles. Would anyone be afraid of this? What questions can I ask the owner (one owner)?

Not enough info to know if you should be worried. The only thing provided is higher than average mileage.

Condition, tire size, maintenance records, where it was owned/operated, use case, etc. are all things that play into it.

Nope. Wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Tires are way oversized so it has more miles than the odometer reads. Hard pass at that high of mileage.

Find another truck. Way too many miles irregardless of condition imo.

    I mean it's a 3rd gen. :notsure: Not a 2nd gen. I own a 3rd gen, 2017, but wouldn't want it with 200k miles.

edit: never mind the grammar. I've made my point. :burp:

Price and service history would determine it for me. Pending the initial visual inspection went well.

You can ask them to take 10k off whatever price they are asking.
The first 200 are the best 200. This orange has been squeezed of all its juice. Sure you can zest it, but it’s not something I’d even consider.
Especially since the odo isn’t going to be accurate as someone else mentioned.
Seats already have 200k worth of farts in them

Asking price (which I don't think you mentioned) would play heavily on my decision to purchase a vehicle with 200K on the clock. If the price is reflective of the high mileage then proceed assuming there is not any glaring issues. Otherwise look for something with a bit less wear and tear. Good luck!

But as always, what the hell do I know?

Do NOT let that internal want and "NEED" for a Tacoma overrule a logical brain on this major purchase option. That's $22,000 dollars for a Truck with over 200,000 miles on it, never mind the add-ons and lift and larger tires and who knows about all the maintenance that's been done, and will need to be done SOON. Because ya know, it's got well over 200,000 miles on it. RUN away from this thought, this is NOT a good financial thought, and an absolutely HORRIBLE and REGREATABLE choice if you/whoever decides to purchase it.

I got $22K trade for my 2018 with 100k. I think the price is a bit high.
