Removed Oem roof rack and having trouble putting on the roof molding. I can’t get them to stay down . It just pops up and isn’t flush with the roof. The ends where they clip in are good, but the middle section won’t stay down, just loose. Any help ?

I just did the reverse yesterday. There are clips in front, and rear. in the middle they used a foam adhesive. I suspect that is what holds it down. Did you cover the bolt holes? I would add a layer of silicone in there to make sure no water goes in. The rubber strip does not keep the water out f the channel.

Yeah I plugged up the holes with silicone . The ends of the molding that get clipped on are all good and solid. The moldings only came with like a 8 inch strip of adhesive on each strip. The rest of the strip doesn’t have any adhesive .
