I am currently wiring my ditch lights from Cali Raised and am having an issue. I have all of the wires run and am connecting to the basic switch they provided. The three wires (Black, White, Blue) came detached from the switch and I am currently trying combinations to get the switch to work. My problem is no matter which order I put them in the lights come on when I attach the battery cables, and the switch won't turn the lights off. I attached pictures but am looking for help. I can't make out what you have connected to the battery. But until you figure out the wiring only use 2 wires and not 3.
You should have battery + -> switch -> light -> battery negative or ground. So play with the 2 wires on the switch, one to battery, and one to lights.
If the led in the switch comes on without the light you have it wrong. ( you are powering the light through the led). Once you have it working with the led not litup then you can connect the 3rd terminal wire to ground.

If you cave a continuity tester, then just put that on the switch to work out the terminals.

Just so you know I have no experience with wiring but this is a premade harness so I figured I could do it myself. If I connect the black and red wires from the harness to the battery the lights come on even when the switch isn't connected. Am i supposed to be connecting both red and black circular attachments to the battery? That is what they show in the Cali Raised install video.

Is there no relay wired in the harness?

Relay is only needed to protect the switch if the switch can't take the current the device pulls. Im assuming the switch was supplied with the light and the manufacturer isn't stupid.
If you are worried about a permanent install then the (apparent) lack of a fuse is more concerning.
I should have been clear in my post, I answering the OP question, trying to help with switch wiring, not the correct permanent install wiring.

Here is a short video showing what is going on. When i connect black to black and red to red on my battery in this setup without the switch attached the lights come on. Am I missing something very simple? https://vimeo.com/241110629

I watched the caliraised instructional video. I am not trying to attach the wires I pictured to an OEM style switch. I am just trying to use the basic switch they supplied. Am I supposed to attach the Red and Black cables with the battery terminal adapters each to the red and black terminals on the battery? Even with no switch attached to the 3 wires the lights turn on.

There is a fuse and relay as I showed in the video, so I'm confused why the switch seems to have no effect in changing the power to the lights whether or not it is attached to the wires.

    I assume you don't have a multimeter?
Are there any markings in the switch at all? Usually there will be something you can work from.

No markings on the switch, just 3 prongs to connect those 3 wires to (blue, white, black). Is it normal for me to have the switch not even connected to those wires and for the lights to stay on when connected to the battery?

Ok This is the same wiring I have in my OP right? And then you have the Black and Red wires connected to the black and red battery terminals? When I have everything set up this way the lights go on without any input from the switch. I can call CaliRaised tomorrow, I was just hoping it would be a simple fix that I overlooked.

Should I be connecting the black wire to the vehicle ground instead of to the black battery terminal?

Red wire goes to positive on battery, black wire connects to the ground on the body (follow the black wire off of the battery).
Run black, blue, white wires into the cab for the provide switch. Blue goes to the center, black and white on either side. Should be that simple. Wires on the left of the pic ate not the ditch lights

Ok I have been connecting the red to positive and black to negative so this might be my problem. On the Cali video they show the black going to the negative battery terminal and not to the ground on the body.

I think they also used a different switch. The oem ditch light switch has 4 wires I believe not 3
