    Apparently many Tacoma have the same issues , due to the lack of quality control. It has nothing to do with damage or bend. You just have to adjust it yourself. The chance is your bumper is already like that before the collision.
    Consider you got yourself the free money from the restaurant

    Didn't even look like it was hit, all the Tacomas I've seen either had bumpers that didn't line up, or the tailgate wasn't ligned up. Bumper easy fix, not much you can do with the tailgate.

    Mine was also badly misaligned from the factory. I took it all apart and fixed it myself. It took several hours to get it positioned to my liking. A couple tabs broke off the step pad so I had to buy new pad.

    I'd take the $925 and buy a steel bumper. Chances are it could happen again, and again.
