    Hey guys,

I need some help with replacing the shifter cover slide (part # 35975) (Diagram http://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com...ukey_trimLevel=18360&searchString=slide+cover ) doesnt really clarify very well how to get the housing apart. its a 1st gen 99 prerunner. It broke a while ago and finally got the part in today to replace. Problem is finding instructions about the disassembly of the shifter are difficult. Everything comes up as 2nd gen, or manual when you search for it.

    TIA,

    James

I got it installed and figured out today, looks and functions great. i got the auto shifter off and the OD switch out it was pretty straight forward. The hardest part was the OD switch re install.

When i was in there I saw one of the bushings on the shifter linkage was broken on the passenger side of the assembly. Seems like its pretty common
