help with SHORT LIST first gen TRD model selection

can anyone help me put together a short list of models and features if i am looking for a first gen TRD?

i am going to read through wikipedia again tomorrow but i’d like to settle on a handful of models to decide to buy in case one comes up.

ALSO. any help determining what i get from one of these models over the 2.7 L 4WD 2dr 200K taco that needs body work that i have now would be /great/. i am trying to finally decide whether to fix up the one i have or sell it and buy a TRD.

TRD is mainly the rear locker. What features you need in a truck probably reach beyond a “TRD”. I’d start with the drive system (2WD/4WD) and the cab configuration.

Condition is just about everything, and, because ya gotta look at it every day, color is important.

i have the 2.7 L 4WD 2 dr with 200K. green. i bought it with 60K in 2000. but i've never done a lick of maintenance to it. i mean just about literally. plus i took a lot of cash every time someone hit me. so it needs a right rear quarter panel badly, drivers side door is dinged up when it was hit when parked. a tree fell on the front left quarter panel and damaged the area between the door and the roof. needs a rear lift gate since that is damaged. could use a bumper. plus the bed is all wonky in the back and misaligned. and it needs paint. all of which is in fact doable i guess. but now that i list it it seems ridiculous to try to fix all that.

anyway, it ALSO needs a 200K maintenance obviously. i think i did suspension four years back but to be honest i don't know.

so i was thinking to put all my time and effort into the 80 series land cruiser i have which i have been studying up on.

long story short - what would say a 1998 TRD get me?

TRD would come in the 2 DR or the X tra cab? i love the handling of the 2 door so i am ambivalent about going to X tra cab but the extra room would be nice.

TRD gets me upgraded shocks and coils which would have to be replaced anyway?

it gets me REAR LOCKERS which i could put in on the 98 4WD?

does a TRD get me anything else?

can i get that in stick shift?
