    Im installing an alpine 900bt, I dont want a sub at this time, i was looking into alpine spr 17 s 6.5 for the front and alpine 6.5 for the rear doors, what amp would you recommend, and or different speakers, I have a 2009 dc longbed.

    not sure what your budget limitations are, but I would save some $ and start with the 6.5s up front and leave the rears for later (if you realize that you do need them). I have kept the factory rears and they sound decent. Have the fader adjusted so they are producing very little sound. And i have a sub for bass. Love the sound of the system.

    My pioneer head unit puts out 18 watts RMS per speaker and I realized that i don't need an amp for the fornt or the rears. Just got one for the sub.
