    Hey there TW,

So I've been dealing with an intermittent 'popping' (like a piece of metal is supposed to be bolted down but its not, so there is some play) sound when the rear axle is flexed. Now it is constant and I can feel and hear it every time one side of the rear end is flexed. I have checked the U-Bolts and the leaf spring mounting bolts. Both are tight. There is no noise at all when driving in a straight line or when both rear tires are flexed at the same time (for example, if I hit a speed bump straight on no sound, but if I take the speed bump at an angle I hear the it, sounds exactly like a loose bolt).

I know its hard to diagnose a problem like this over the internet, but anybody got any ideas to point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

Just checked em', bed bolts are good. Thanks.

Think I found it, neighbor came over and shook the shit out of the truck laterally, the culprit is a loose leaf in the leaf pack. Once there is enough lateral movement it starts banging back and forth. Now I gotta figure out how to keep it from doing that.

Check the LCA alignment nuts and bolts, not sure why but sometimes mine would come loose, (one time one of the bolts was hand tight) jack up the front and torque them to 100 ft lbs.

Cool! Do you have pix? Is a spring clamp loose? Perhaps a broken leaf? If they're OEM, I'd check that asap..... Only because I know the OEM leaf pack is a joke. The TSB one is too

I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow when its light out. Its the Skyjacker Softride 2" Lift Leaf Pack. The spring clamp looks good but it'll take a bit more of my neighbor shaking the truck (super scientific haha) for me to narrow down if its the front or rear of the leaf pack.

Unfortunatly they are not the stock springs so no TSB for me. They are the Skyjackers which look like the stock springs, just more curved for lift. Will report by this weekend what I find.
