I have a 2011 DCSB 4x4 with 206k. I live in the North Georgia mountains. Most of my driving in highway but I do live on a gravel road. My driveway is 180 feet long, concrete at about a 45 pitch, parking area is gravel. I have a new 2019 Toyota Highlander Limted AWD in the garage but we hardly drive it. Take the Taco everywhere. I want a good smooth highway with good traction on these mountain curves. Truck has the Dunlop’s with aftermarket rims. I’ve used the search and read threads all afternoon. I’m between two tires. #1 choice is the Michelin Defender LTX M/S and #2 choice is Bridgestone Dueler A/T. What do you guys think?

I have the stock Bridgstone Dueler AT on mine. Good mileage, not a lot of road noise. Went off road last weekend and I was actually very impressed with how well they handled the terrain. ( wrong turn ended up on a class 5/ATV only trail)

The Michelin Defender LTX M/S is a great choice for your intended use.

Consider this vote number two. I've been running the Michelins for a while now, am on my fourth set on a couple of different trucks. In my opinion, best tire out there. Not the best off road but not bad. FANTASTIC on the road.

Coming from BFG rugged trails to Michelin Defenders, was much better at wet traction / smoother ride / small MPG increase

I'm currently rocking Michelin Defenders LTX M/S on my 3rd gen Limited wheels. Smooth, quite, great MPG's and they last a long time. Going to order them in 16's when these tire wear out. Never going to buy another tire.

Thanks everyone, I ordered the Michelin’s this morning from my local shop. Will get them tomorrow. I have Michelin’s on my Corvette Z06 and love them on it.
