    Hello!

I am new to the community, so I apologize in advance if I write something that is deemed as "stupid". I am trying to learn as quickly as possible.

I recently bought a 2006 Tacoma TRD Double Cab V6 4WD. The person that owned it before me put Toytec Coilovers (BOSS-TTFCS-129) on the front but did not change any other suspension pieces. The control arms are at the wrong angle and are causing my boots to crack and leak grease all over the place. The truck is slightly higher in the front vs the back. The rear is stock suspension as well. No blocks or extended U-bolts. To make matters worse, the truck has spent most of its life in the northeast, so the bottom and all components except the coils and the frame, are rusted over.

I am looking for an affordable option to fix the suspension, as this is mostly a "work" truck. I went to my local 4 wheel parts store and the guy said that I could just change the upper control arms in order to fix the angle that is currently being forced on the rubber boots, and I can add some blocks and some u-bolts to the rear to fix the tilt.

Is it worth getting the full rear suspension kit to complete the whole lift package?

    Thanks in advance!

    Elaine

    Welcome!

I personally would lower the front coilovers. It sounds like they are at max height if they are putting the upper balljoints at extreme angles.

Maybe post some pics of the front suspension?
