Might just need to be tightened , but you would still need to get the code read / cleared

So your 30" light bar is drawing power from a switch that probably takes less than a couple of watts? That's way to much power draw of off such a low current circuit, your light bar takes 10x the power of that switch at least. Or is the switch just drawing the power to light itself from the TRAC switch? Either way I woulf say it's probably not a coincidence you install a light bar that draws powet from the TRAC button and then you get a code, but as others have said it would be best to know the codes before blaming the switch.

A ton of little things will disable TRAC and set off the check engine light. It could be literally anything and a ten minute trip to an autozone or an appointment at the dealer will give you some real answers.

Oh no... My light bar is all wired properly to the battery and grounded and has an inline fuse, the only thing wired to my traction control switch is a single wire from my after market switch. That one wire I tapped to make it so when I turn my lights on normally the fog and TRAC green light behind the switch goes on and now so does the light on my switch for my light bar. That's all that is wired to the other switch.

Okay. That makes a lot more sense. The only thing I'd still point out though is that even though the light in that switch doesn't draw much power, that circuit is a digital switch. In simpler terms the TRAC button doesn't actually have a true mechanical on/off switch in it. Instead it has a switch that turns off momentarily when the button is depressed which tells the TRAC computer to shut off TRAC or enter other TRAC modes. Given the functionality of the switch I wouldn't wire anything into that circuit that could cause a voltage drop because it could trigger an issue with the TRAC computer, though I would think at worse TRAC would turn on and off randomly when the lights are turned on it could very well cause something strange like a check engine and TRAC light.

As OZ and others have said there is no real way to know what is going on without knowing the codes. My piece of advice would be to pick up a code reader, or even better value for the money a Scangauge or Ultragauge, and grab those codes yourself. Once you post them members can likely pinpoint what is actually going on with your truck. It could be the gas cap, ABS sensor, or something else totally unrelated to TRAC system but until we have more information we are just feeding you random guesses.

Funny how electrical stuff wants to stay dry. Goes to show how even something that isn't related to TRAC in anyway can mess with it.

My last Outback would disable VDC, SI-Drive and Cruise Control for any check engine light. It would also set the rev limiter at 4k until you restarted the car. I think lighting up the dash like a Christmas tree was a strategy to scare owners into thinking there was a big problem so they didn't just ignore it.

My buddy at work has an old Subaru outback that disables it's cruise control of his O2 sensor codes. He has a buddy clear the code and he is good for six months.

Why not just elimante the possibilities of what it could be, and take it to Autozone or something and get the code read so you know if it's something you did and need to take care, or the dealer needs to take care of.
It doesnt cost a dime to have the code checked at Autozone...or a dealer since its new.

Okay sweet so that's not a worry and I'm still waiting on the other lights. I'm gunna be pissed if something is wrong. Idk how my TRAC off light went off since I haven't wheeled hard more than 5 times and it's been about 1,200 miles since the last time I did
