So i started my retrofit on a set of aftermarket headlights from autoanything. I have the lense off and im trying to mount my d2s in.

Its supposed to be simple but i seem to be making it hard. There bi xenon so it has the black flip up shade in it for the high and low beams.

My problem is that the first ring you put on the threads only goes into place if the black shade is on the lower part of the globe. I was under the impression that it was supposed to be on the upper side.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

^^^ sounds like you figured it out but yes the cut off shield should be on the bottom half of the projector when you mount it up.
