Negative.... new Nachi bearing has a much stronger needle cage to reduce flexing then the original Koyo bearing. Nachi bearing-steel cage. Koyo bearing-plastic cage

    Update:
Printed the TSB and took it to my local dealership. It's the needle bearing and they are replacing, no questions asked. Was hoping to know by now but it took forever to get the parts and then their special tool broke. Now I'm just waiting for them to get a new one and hopefully all will be good.

My bearing had a steel cage :notsure: It looked fine upon removal, even though I had the vibe for over 10k miles.

    Left-original bearing Koyo
    Middle-TSB bearing Nachi
    Right-ECGS

I have replaced a few and I believe they were all plastic type cages but.... I have never replaced one on a 2012. Only 2014 and 2015 so who knows. I don't believe I have heard of anyone getting the TSB or the ECGS and having the pulsing vibration come back.

I've been wrong before. I could be wrong about this too. Maybe it's just the sleeve I'm thinking of. I remember looking at the bearings themselves to see of the looked messed up.

Big thanks to @RedRed and TW for helping me out. Finally got the TSB work done today and vibes are gone! So nice knowing it's not driveline related!

Got mine done too. All good but they put the original 3510 bearing in mine as per my paperwork. They tired to say my lift caused the problem and i was going to have to pay for the bushing. We worked it out, this one was on them next one if needed i will pay for.

I'm curious up to what mileage they'll fix it for free. I'm almost at 36k miles, and I have a 13 so I'm thinking it might be too late. I believe I felt it for the first time tonight on the way home from work. It did it for a couple miles and stopped. It was cold outside too, which may not have helped. What's funny is that I was just looking at a thread about the bushing a day or so ago, and thought I was doing good to not have this issue so far. I haven't confirmed it yet, but I'm afraid it's the bearing. I have a 3" lift on mine.

The TSB says up to 60k. My 14 was done during the 45k service.

I have a 2.5"ish lift and they never balked at it. My truck is a '13 with 51k on it and didn't have an issue.

They hassled me till i showed them a copy of the TSB talked with the services manager and said where does it say anything about a lift. Looks like this has been happing to many even without the lift. They finally agreed and i got it done.
