OK there all i need help. my 2015 double cab is making sounds like there is water in the passenger side B pillar, or somewhere around there. I have taken everything out of the truck to make sure it's not something else. I have once or twice seen water on the floor of the rear seats. Just thought maybe it was a kids spilled some water. But it's driving me nuts. I have looked on the internet and here and can't find a definitive...Help please

    Thanks for you time.

Maybe you have a half filled water bottle sitting in the cup holder in the door

I wish it was that easy. I have clean everything out of the truck. Only have 38K on it. I have tried clearing the A/C drain line and it doesn't seem blocked either. Sound is coming from B pillar or somewhere in the back area.

Does it sound like peeing or water in a bottle or river water running or dripping?

Or do you only hear it after you smoked some crack?

Not sure because I have the access cab, but the holes on my 4Runner to mount the roof rack go through and will let water through if not sealed or have a bolt in it.

    Also op, where are you?

On my Tacoma, in the ridge where those rubber strips go, where the oem roof rack mounts, there are raised metal brackets where the bolts screw in.

Does your truck gave drain plug in the rocker panel. It could have water trapped in it. Under accel or braking it could be coming inside to get the carpet wet.1529553484863139155229.jpg

Maybe a window seal leaking water into the door. Isn't there some plugs that can be pulled out to let water drain?

Maybe pull the plastic piece between the hood and the winshield, see if water is being held in there. Could be a bunch of leaves and junk got in through the vents and holding water, that can make a water sound when you rock it back n forth.

The drain holes in the door should be open all the time, no plug.

Toyota had a run of back sliding windows that didn't have a good bond of urethane (it would bond to the body but not to the glass). Open a back door and push on the glass with the palm of your hand while looking outside at the molding of the back window. As you're pushing, see if the glass moves away from the body. If it does, that may be your problem. I'd suggest pulling the rear seat backs and store bins and then water testing the back window and seeing if anything comes in. Tumble the seat bottoms up, fold the seatbacks down, remove the small square covers and remove the 4 bolts for the seat backs (I think they're 12mm). Then there's 10mm bolts for the storage bins against the back of the cab. With the seat backs out, just pull straight back on the storage bins to release the clips (driver's side first as it overlays the passenger side bin). Grab a garden hose and go around the perimeter of the window for at least 5 minutes while checking the inside for any water entry.
