    Hey! First time poster here.

2007 Tacoma, got a used canopy. We have the brake light hooked up, but are a little clueless on the dome light and the power lock for the canopy. We don’t have the key and would like to have the power lock functional so we can lock the canopy with the truck in one go.

Google has been pretty useless, as everything I find tends to be either for the power lock tailgate or the brake and dome lights.
    Thanks in advance!

Welcome to TW! Your gona need unswitched power back there for the light, unless you wanted to use a battery powered one. My canopy actually came with that and it worked good until I ran power from the battery back to the truck bed. You may also be able to tap off the trailer wiring harness if you have a tow package on it.

You could parallel the cab overhead wires to the canopy (long run)

For the lock, parallel the wires at the kick panel at passenger side, is less cluttered.
