I just purchased a used set of hella rallye 4000 luminator metal driving lights, they have 3 wires, and as I understand this model to have a driving light, how does one wire this properly? Can I tap into the OEM driving lights? Is it that simple? Please help, I have searched the threads and found nothing. I have a 2009 TRD Tacoma.

    Thank you
    Darcy

The Hella driving lights have two bulbs, the main, and a driving light that is to come on when your driving lights come on. The wires coming out of the Hella are BLUE, BROWN, YELLOW. I am okay with wiring the main bulb to a switch, but would like the daytime running lights to come on when the vehicle is turned on. Instructions state to connect to the tacoma's "parking light wire", does anyone know what wire that would be on my tacoma?

The Parking Lamps will have a Green Wire Hot and a White with Black Strip Wire for Ground.

I wouldn't suggest 'tapping' into anything unless you plan on running a relay and your own 12v fused power source from the battery. Tapping into stock wiring creates more current draw and isn't good for the electrical system.
