Cali raised side projecting ditch light.
I bought the side projecting ditch lights and harness from Cali raised LED. In order to keep the look of the truck clean, I bought the ditch light switch from Ch4x4. On the back of the package there is a diagram. 15015521830721191995686.jpg
Here are the wires that come from the harness.
    1501552086274924199432.jpg
I installed a switch just like this and fried the circuit board, now I'm looking for a little help so I can finally use these nice lights. What wires go together? Thanks for the help!

This is what the old switch looks like. You can see the broken part on the right.

This exact thing just happened to me.
    1)solder wire jumperIMG_1051.jpg
    2) black to black
    3) pin1&pin 2 connect when the switch is on. So put blue to green and red to red. Just check what color is going to you fuse.
    4) pin 3 goes into your dimmer if wanted.

So like this with the red closest to the black not connected to anything?

    Green to red
Red (next to green) to blue
Red (next to black) to add a fuse (i connected mine to the 7.5 tail).

the red closest to the black connects to the dash lights. you can tie this into the light green on the cargo lights so it works with your dimmer.

that wiring looks similar to what i did with my caliraised light bar, i used this thread for help. I cant say for 100% without know what the harness connect to. it looks like @tdrsupreme has the ditch lights.

Looks good! Do you need to disconnect any cables from the battery before removing the tail fuse and adding it back in with the add a fuse? I don't want to blow anything

    My wallet is empty
I posted this in another thread as well but this one looks more active...

My Caliraised light bar came with a 30A inline fuse wired into the harness. That seems like overkill to me no? I swapped it for a 20A and it didn't blow. Is there any reason why this is a bad idea? OR... should I go even smaller? Thanks everyone for your help (knowledge, schematics, drawings, photos, input...)

My light bar IS live even when the truck is off. Is that a bad thing?

So I wired mine up last night, put the add a fuse into the 7.5 tail fuse spot, and then it somehow blew an ignition fuse and from there I couldn't get the truck out of Park without using the shift lock. Dropped it at Toyota this morning not having realized this happened until I was already late for work. Anyways, do you know why this happened to mine and not yours? I did my wiring the same as yours.

Well the stock 7.5 that was originally in there was a compact one so the legs wouldnt go into my add-a-fuse. So i replaced that one with a 10 thinking if anything that would be better and also it was the closest I had that would fit in my add a fuse

that may be the reason why.
I bought a pack of 7.5 fuses, as well as a 3 amp fuse.
The add-a-fuse has 2 slots; the slot right behind the add-a-use prong I inserted the 7.5, and the other slot I added the 3 amp fuse.

Okay maybe that did it to me then. I figured just putting a 10 in there would cover it. I also think I placed that 10 amp in the other slot not the one right behind the add a fuse prong but I'm not sure that that placement makes a difference.

ah, that may have been it!
The placement of the fuses in the slots do affect the wiring:

That's correct. There's only one brightness setting on those

I know exactly what you mean! I have my dash lights at the lowest setting, and this switch light sticks out like a sore thumb haha

So you just left that 4th wire completely out of the equation? I stopped at toyota on my way in today (was too late to start pulling fuses) and they just disconnected my add a fuse from the fuse box and stuck a 10A in it and left it off, and then added the 7.5 back into the tail fuse spot. Now the switch is not lit up until I push it and the lights come on. That's good enough for me
