I recently installed a 2.5" lift on my 2009 Tacoma. I parked it in my drive way to find a hug puddle underneath it. After further investingation I noticed that the passenger cv boot was messed up badly. I had a mechanic look at it and he said it was onset by the lift. How can this be when the lift has been on there for only a month? Also if I had the lift removed would a dealership still fix it under warranty?
    Thanks for your help

Generally if you lift too hihg, the VC's can tear. So Yes, it could have been caused by the lift.

What kind of setup are you running? One of my buddy is mechanic for Toyota and he told me they usually know when people tamper with original OEM setups just by visual inspection on bolts and warranty can be voided. I heard they test for over torqued nuts and bolts in the suspension to see if any parts of the suspension is off factory specifications to know whether it has been tampered with.
