    I have a 2001 Taco and i have a squeal behind the steering wheel, i have used WD40 and silicone nothing works, it seams its in the turn signal assembly.

    Sounds like the rubber ball thing inside there. I had mine apart for the steering column 'clatter' fix, and noticed a little yellow rubber ball looking thing that was coated in grease. After I reassembled I noticed the odd 'squeal' or squeak as I rotated the steering wheel. Pretty sure it's that, May just need greased. Mine actually went away on its own. But that's all I can think of atm that it might be. Not too too difficult to take apart. I can find the writeup on how to remove the column if you want. I'll see if I can find a diagram showing hat part too..

    Here's the write-up. If you look at the 3rd to last pic, you'll see the yellow thing on the end of the shaft I'm talking about. Might be a good idea to do the clatter fix while yer at it.
