I actually hated GameStop for a long time. Back when the Wii came out I took a PS2 and N64 with all the games and accessories to my local GameStop to trade in for the Wii. The guy went through the entire trade in process knowing my plan was to swap for a Wii. Issued my credits and then I was like “alright show me the Wii” he was like “oh yeah those are sold out and back ordered....and all trades are final”

I didn’t go back for years. Exclusively shopped at Best Buy or on Amazon. Just recently made a purchase around Christmas from a GameStop for the first time since.

I'm going to buy a new PC (figure this, it's damn near cheaper to buy a prebuilt now than it is to build one with all the GPU shortages), Xbox and PS5 from Gamestop once this is all over.

 

They did give me like 50 bucks for my 360 copy of NCAA 14 since that was last year it was made. I could've sold it for the same on Ebay but I couldn't be bothered. At least they understood the demand for that game.

 

I never sold anything to gamestop, I horde my old games.... I still have my NES, n64, super nintendo, xbox360, wii, gameboys, I even still have my old atari. I do buy used games from them though.

 

I'm going to do this too (except I want to build another PC). I really want to play around and set up a cool watercooled setup with frosted hard tubes

I wish I had kept mine, especially after I got duped.

I still have a SNES and the Wii now but I also have a switch that has all the old games included now with Nintendo Online. I also have a SNES and NES emulator with the entire catalog of games. Don’t care much about the old PlayStation consoles and moved on to Xbox (because Halo) but probably won’t upgrade from the Xbox One anytime soon

Well, of course nothing's written in stone, but just off the top of my head:

We've seen support now for over a week in the high $100's / low $200s

Volume has been pitifully low. That's usually an indication that everybody who's got shares is just kinda hanging on to them, or buying more

The shorting to drive down the price has continually failed. Every time the funds drive it down 20% it gets bought right back up.

There's substantial evidence pointing towards nearly the entire float being owned by retail or long position institutions now.

TLDR: GME can't be looked at by any normal technical metric. It's got it's own special set of circumstances it's trading under right now.

I highly recommend taking profits and day trading that stock..it's up and down all the time...maybe sell 1/2 for profit and buy back...

Well with a beta of -8 from last weeks Bloomberg Terminal GME is extremely detached from the market, and kind of in it's own realm and with no volume staying well above my average price.


This is why I keep buying shares / options. eventually something's gotta give.
