I know another lift thread... Seems like the more I learn the more I don't know.

I want to lift my truck as much as possible with a budget of about $1200.. That being said upper control arms are not in the budget so keeping the lift around 2.5in sounds like the way to go. I also want the truck to sit slightly nose high, not bro lean or what ever but just slightly. Basically I need help deciding what kit, then what setting, then what to put on the rear.
I want something to ride better than stock on gravel roads and speed bumps. On road isn't a huge deal as long as its not much worse.

Been looking really hard at the Bilstein 6112 and 5160 in the rear, seems like my best bet.

That being said I heard if I put the AAL in the rear that gives 1.5in it would not give me the stance I want, since the 6112s only give 2.46 maxed out :annoyed:

    1. So do I just not lift the rear? If I'm not lifting the rear how much will the 5160 shock really help back there.

    2. If I don't lift the rear at all should I spring for something like a fox 2.5 in the front? or upper control arms?

I just need some advice before I do it... I mean I could get a spacer lift and with the extra money get avid bumpers and fender flares... :anonymous:

Im just afraid the 5100s won't give me the performance on speed bumps and going to fast on wash board roads :(
    Thats your set up right?

No. I have full OME with Light Racing UCA's.

If you want to mob wash board roads, you need to increase your budget another $1500 to Icons with coilovers.

Well wash board roads in the mountains aren't exactly terrible soo... I have thought about putting just front Icon coil overs

Okay been talking to some vendors and one has recommended me getting longer top plate studs on the 6112s that way if its not high enough I could always add top plate spacers, what kind of trouble am i going to get in if I get up over 3in of lift? Upper control arms, what else?
