I just added the Hellwig 990 series helper. I am happy with it on mine. I have a 2006 that I bought used that did not have the TSB done on the springs. Since I was told it is too late to have it done, I went this route.

I carry a 700 lb round bale of hay weekly and noticed significantly less droop. It is a little stiffer ride, but not significantly.

It might be up a tick, say 1/2 of an inch, but not something that you would notice at a glance.

I really have not played with the adjustment on it, but I think if you were to tighten the nuts all the way, it would stand it up a little. All I wanted was to be able to carry a load at level a little better. It does do that.

One thing that was a little odd on the install was turning one of the brackets sideways. I never quite figured out why that was done. You will have to match the one on the other side so that it is not any tighter that the sideways one or you will have a funny lean when you load it.

I believe as the model number suggests, 550 lbs. Like the other poster said, maybe 1/2 inch at the most when not loaded.

Hey, Redman. I have an 07 and I had my leaf TSB done just about 6 months ago. I got a notice from the factory and just called the local dealer. They had them in, scheduled me and had it done within a few days. I'm on the west coast.
