HELPP!! BROKEN TAILGATE HANDLE, TAILGATE WONT OPEN

Ok im freaken out...went to costco a few minutes ago and right before i was about to load some stuff in the back, i realized that my tailgate would not open. the handle seems a little bit loose and nothing happens when i pull it....does any one know how i can fix it....

Yeah i had check that out but, im not sure if i will be able to take off the cover since the tailgate is closed

 

just checked it out looks like the right clamp is stuck shut. I will try get some wd40 in there hopefully it work. fingers crossed

 

mine did the same thing went to toyota and ordered the red and black clips that are rite behind the tailgate handle under the liner only bout 7 buks took 1 day to get easy to install

 

took the cover of to see what was going on pulled the two rods and only one right side is opening the other size is totally seized

 

I loled at that ^^
