Has anyone every broken that hydraulic on the glove box? My friend pulled it down since it wasn't coming down fast enough. The clip isn't broken but he rounded the edges off that two prog clips. So you can clip it back on, but it'll just slide off the next time you try to open it.

You got an air compressor and an air nozzle?

Blow the filter out - from clean side outwards.:D

What exactly does the HEPA filter filter? Does it filter harmful gasses from the engine or something? Hell.... In the summer, I'm gonna ride around with my windows down, not much the HEPA filter is gonna do for me with the windows down.

I'm personally not worried about the *stuff* in the air...I breathe more crap in an 8 hour day at work than I'd breathe in my truck for 8 hours. I'm still living.....and healthy.

I guess I just don't see the point in spending that much money on a cabin air filter (to replace it).

There is not much dust here. I never open the windows. That`s why I bought climate control. I do have a FB knife / window breaker and a pistol in case I wind up in a river. It does happen. A guy shot his front wind screen out recently and saved himself while sinking. It was a .45. I`m glad that I wasn`t there. The electric fails and water pressure keeps you from opening the door even if you haven`t electricaly locked it. Which would short, of course. The lake ice was not as strong as he thought. I just run recirculate.

In the cheap/free thread there's dimensions for the type of large air filter to buy and cut down to use.

The HEPA part may be debatable, but the filter part is good to have. I pulled mine out to clean it off and had leaves and small twigs on it. Were it not for the filter those would be rattling around inside the blower wheel now irritating the hell out of me. As it is a few small ones fell off the filter and rattled around.

These are $4.77 and ship for free if you are an Amazon Prime member. I replace mine once a year and they are usually really bad. It only takes about 2 minutes to replace on your own. Super easy.
