Is it salvageable? What does the frame look like? Bent? Rusted?

    That's a pretty vague description.

How about pictures and some specifics of damage you can see so far?

Do you have a place to disassemble / reassemble and be out of the way for a few weeks while you work on it? These home brews often take a while.

Do you have a good assortment of tools?

Have any friends with skills that might help when extra hands are needed?

Are there any good wrecking yards in your area?

While not an expert in car repairs, do you have any mechanical skills/experience that will come into play here? We all started somewhere, but this could be quite the adventure with zero mechanical background.

Here's a really serious question or three to think about going in......... relative to 'is it worth it'?
    • Were the airbags deployed?
    • If the truck has lived in snow/salt country, have you verified the frame is healthy enough to bother saving the rest of the truck?
    • Is the frame bent from the accident?
    • How many miles on the truck? IE what is it's mechanical history and health?
When you start posting specifics, do it in the 1st gen forum. Several folks there have done amazing builds/rebuilds/conversions/repairs and it will be where you find your best help.
